First job as software engineer

My career as a software engineer started at Infostride, a San Jose based IT Consulting firm. As a contractor for Capgemini, I had the opportunity to work on several Verizon projects.

During this time I played different roles, from Frontend Developer to Backend Developer. I was responsible at times for developing new features of the Verizon Networking platform, at other times I was responsible for maintaining, fixing bugs or extending features.

I used a myriad of frameworks and languages during this period, the most relevant being Angular for the Frontend, and Springboot, Golang, Java, Python and Oracle SQL for the backend work.

The experience I gained during this period was invaluable, as it helped me understand the software development lifecycle, work effectively in a team, build my confidence and improve my problem-solving skills.

The example of my leads during this period set an example for me to follow later when mentoring other junior developers.
